BuySellCars — Zimbabwe Vehicle Marketplace
Zimbabwe's vehicle marketplace for cars, trucks, bikes, agricultural and earth-moving machinery. Buyers filter by type, make, price and location across dealer and private listings, save favourites, and browse rentals — while dealers subscribe for featured placement.
The challenge
Zimbabwe's vehicle trade was scattered across social posts and classified groups, with no trusted place to compare listings. BuySellCars needed a marketplace that could serve two very different users at once — buyers hunting for the right vehicle, and dealers who need their stock seen.
What we built
- Built the marketplace on Next.js with server rendering, so listing pages load fast and are indexable by search engines.
- Designed multi-axis search across vehicle type, make, price and location.
- Extended the catalogue beyond cars to trucks, bikes, agricultural and earth-moving machinery.
- Added saved favourites for buyers and a featured-dealer subscription that gives dealers premium placement.
